Featuring the MA Senate to debate on its $55.8 billion FY24 budget proposal on Monday, the MassCPAs government affairs team submitted testimony to the Joint Committee on Revenue for its May 16 hearing on several bills related to corporate tax changes and more.

DOR Update

The ERISA Accounting and Auditing Committee encourages and supports the unique needs of Society members who perform ERISA/Department of Labor (DOL) audits, including 401K, 403B and health and welfare plans.

The Government Accounting and Auditing Committee meets monthly to discuss hot topics and provide updates on developments in governmental accounting and auditing to assist the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) with the issuance of improved generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).

The Young Professionals Committee meets quarterly and features guest speakers and member spotlights to highlight the different backgrounds of and career paths for accounting professionals. It is a place to develop soft skills and connect with peers across the industry to grow your network. The group also helps the Society build and diversify the accounting pipeline and the next generation of CPAs.
